OTP Verification: How It Works and Why It's Important

OTP (One-Time Password) verification is a security measure used to confirm the identity of users during authentication or transaction processes. It involves generating a unique password that is valid for a single use or a short period of time.

User Initiation: When a user attempts to log in, register, or perform a transaction, they are prompted to provide their phone number or email address.

OTP Generation: An OTP is then generated and sent to the user's registered phone number or email address.

OTP Delivery: The OTP can be delivered through SMS, email, or other communication channels. SMS is the most common method due to its ubiquity and ease of use.
